There are a lot of really good software out there that can help you out, many which are freeware. One of the best ones in my opinion is AVG. Antivir is pretty good too, but I prefer AVG.

There are many others out there as well, you might find some better ones but as far as I know, those are some of the best.

Depends if you are willing to pay (which you should) or not.
For a free AV I would recommened AVG.
For something not free I would definitely recommended Kaspersky. Kaspersky also has a 30 day free trail you can get off of their website.
